Helping your collaborators get recognition for the work they’ve done is not only helpful for them, but it’s vital to making a healthy Creator Economy for all Creatives involved. Here’s how you can do that with Stir Verified Credits
Step 01
If you were sent a video link by your collaborator, simply go to the link and move on to Step 02.
Otherwise, visit https://dashboard.usestir.com/video-credits/
Copy and paste the URL of the video you are claiming into the search box and press Search. If you entered a valid URL, you will be taken to a page for the video which will let you claim it as its owner.
Step 02
If you’ve already claimed this video (you would see This video claimed by you in the upper-right), move on to Step 03
If you have not yet claimed the video, click on Claim this video. This will prompt you to sign in to / sign up for Stir (if you haven’t already). You will then be asked to link the YouTube channel in question to your Stir account.
After doing so, any future videos that you post on this channel that someone searches for or claims a credit on will automatically be added to your Profile and you’ll receive a notification via email and SMS.
Note: if you link the wrong channel, you’ll need to start over so make sure you add the right one!
Step 03
Underneath the video thumbnail, you’ll see boxes corresponding to any credits that have been claimed on the video. If the person requesting the credit served in their listed capacity for that video, go ahead and click Verify. If they did not, you can also hit Reject.
Boom! Thank you for helping to recognize your collaborator’s hard work!
After verifying a credit, your collaborator’s profile page (which you can get to by clicking on the box for their credit) will show a badge on the video highlighting that their work has been verified.
