How do Monthly Minimum Guarantees on Splits work?

Monthly Minimum Guarantees provide flexibility for how Splits work

This feature allows you to set a minimum for the amount of money a Split member should earn each month on a platform payout! If their share of the revenue in a given month is less than the minimum guarantee, the difference is transferred from the owner of the Split.

It is important to keep in mind two things about minimum guarantees:

  • Minimum guarantees will only process if there is revenue to be split in that month. For instance, if a YouTube Split does not make any revenue in a given month, the Split will not run that month and the participant will not get their minimum guarantee for the month.
  • The amount of a Minimum Guarantee can exceed the revenue from the Split. In such an event, this could result in a net transfer of funds from the Split owner to the participant in question. As a result, many of our Splits with Minimum Guarantees are paired with stop dates.

Currently, minimum guarantees are only supported on YouTube video or channel splits.
