After a 30-day free trial, Stir charges a fee based on the total Split amount. This fee can be allocated evenly or assigned to a single party.
How can I adjust who pays the fee?
Who pays the fee is assigned when Splits are created. During the Split creation process (see:

If you select the bar under “Fee Options” you’ll be presented with three options:
- Reflect Agreement — This is our recommended path and allocates the fees according to the Split. For example, if a manager is getting a 25% commission on a Split, and there are no other participants on the Split, 25% of the fees will be paid by the manager, and 75% by the client).
- Share Evenly — Splits the fees evenly between participants. For example, if a manager is getting a commission through a Split, and there are no other participants on the Split, 50% of the fees will be paid by the manager, and 50% will be paid by the client.
- Single Member — All of the fees will be paid for by one member of the Split (i.e. the manager or the client). After selecting this option, you’ll have the ability to select that individual.

If you would like to adjust the fee allocation on a Split that has already been created, contact us at support@usestir.com.
How do I track my Splits and their associated fees?
You can get information on transactions related to all your Splits by visiting the Splits section of Stir and clicking on “Export.” This will download a CSV which will show the last two months of your Split activity and any associated fees. Stir Pro users will also see details on the total fees for Splits.
